John began his Pharmaceutical career as Head of Talent Acquisition for the Sterling Winthrop Research Institute, a twelve hundred employee Research and Development facility in Rensselaer, NY. He recruited for all scientific and administrative functions from Drug Discovery through Drug Development. John oversaw recruiting operations during the relocation of the Sterling Research Group to Malven, PA. including support for a new immunoconjugate oncology facility and assistance to the Strategic Marketing and Planning Groups in New York City. Following Sterling Drug, John joined Centocor in Malvern, PA as Head of Talent Acquisition for the Research and Development organization.

Before founding High Peaks Executive Search, LLC., John worked for two retained pharmaceutical executive search firms, Bonner/Menard International Search, Inc. in Long Valley, NJ followed by Menard International Search, Inc. in East Greenbush, NY. John was a key executive consultant in over one hundred and fifty retained searches from Director through C-suite levels for start-ups, medium size organizations and large pharmaceutical companies.

John graduated from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont with a B.S. in Business Administration and was awarded a certificate of achievement for meritorious service as a member of the Corps of Cadets. He was a member of the Mountain and Cold Weather Club at Norwich. John recently became an Adirondack 46er having summited all 46 New York Adirondack High Peaks over 4,000’ during summer months. He is currently working on his winter 46.
